Information you choose to share
The interest form asks for your name, email, required phone number, city, relationship to the person receiving visits, preferred frequency, selected interests, an age-60+ eligibility confirmation, and optional message. It also asks for the senior’s preferred name, age, interests and hobbies, and optionally their preferred language, visit preferences, and topics or activities to avoid. A permission confirmation is recorded with the profile. Please do not include medical records, financial information, passwords, or other sensitive information.
Children’s visit inquiries
The “Meet the child” form is for parents and legal guardians. It collects your contact details, relationship, city, visit frequency, and each child’s preferred name, age (14 and under), interests and hobbies. Optional fields include preferred language, days and times, visit preferences, activities or topics to avoid, and a message. Guardian and permission confirmations are recorded. Children should not submit their own inquiries. Please use preferred names and leave out sensitive records.
How it is used
Information is used to review your inquiry, understand interest in the service, prepare an appropriate companionship visit, and contact you about that inquiry and visit availability. Submitting the form does not create a booking or enroll you in an unrelated marketing list. We do not sell inquiry information.
Storage and access
Inquiries are stored in the website’s hosted database. The owner’s inquiry dashboard requires authentication and owner authorization. Hosting providers process technical information needed to operate the website. A daily one-way hash derived from the connection address is stored with an inquiry for abuse prevention; this application does not store the raw connection address in the inquiry record.
Optional profile photos
You may upload a photo of a senior or child with permission. A parent or legal guardian must authorize a child’s photo. Photos are stored privately with the inquiry and are accessible through the authenticated owner dashboard for visit preparation. They are not published or used in advertising or social media. Uploaded photos are resized and re-encoded in the browser to remove original metadata before sending. Photo permission is separate from any future marketing permission.
Your choices
All optional fields can be left blank. If you prefer not to share information, do not submit the form. To request correction or deletion, email info@joyvisits.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may need to verify that the request belongs to you.
Retention and deletion
Inquiry records are retained while needed to manage the inquiry and visit requests. The site owner can delete an inquiry and its associated photos from the private dashboard. Information may be retained when needed to comply with an applicable legal obligation.
Cookies and analytics
This application does not currently add advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Hosting and authentication services may use cookies or technical data to provide access, security, and service operation.
Someone else’s information
If you are inquiring for someone else, provide your own contact details. Get permission before sharing another person’s personal information. An older adult’s consent and preferences remain central to any visit.
