Let the senior choose the setting and activity: chatting at the kitchen table, tending a small indoor plant together, or enjoying a favorite board game. A companion is a guest in their home.

Can I arrange a visit for a parent who values privacy?
Start by asking what they want and what they are comfortable sharing. Family communication should be agreed in advance and respect the senior’s consent; paying for a visit does not remove their right to privacy.
Companionship for adults age 60 and older
Joy Visits serves people age 60+. The age requirement applies to the person receiving visits. Family members and other authorized contacts of any adult age may inquire on their behalf.
What a companionship visit can include
Conversation, reading, music, games, shared hobbies, and simple help connecting with family through video calls or photographs. A visit is shaped by what the senior enjoys and chooses to participate in. See our companionship services for more detail.
Planning visits in Yorba Linda
We are accepting clients. The first senior’s regular rate is $75/hour, currently discounted to $40/hour. Each additional senior in the same visit is regularly $40/hour, currently discounted to $20/hour. There is a two-hour minimum: $80 for one senior, $120 for two, or $160 for three at the promotional rate. Availability, activities, and service arrangements are confirmed before visits begin. An inquiry is not a booking.
Is companionship the right kind of support?
Social companionship is intended for connection and shared activities. It does not replace nursing, therapy, personal care, or continuous supervision. If an older adult needs help with bathing, toileting, transfers, medication, or staying safe alone, a different provider may be appropriate.
